Hackers Hacked Narendra Modi's Twitter Account

Attackers hacked the Twitter account of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his office said on the social network.

According to him, hackers controlled the account "for a very short time." "Twitter has been alerted and the account has been secured immediately," the post reads.

The prime minister's office also said that for the short time that the account was hacked, "any tweets posted should be ignored," but did not specify exactly what time the incident occurred or when it ended.

Twitter said it took all the necessary steps to regain control of the account as soon as they received information about the hack, they said on the social network, reports REUTERS. The investigation found no indication that any other accounts were also compromised.
