Representatives of Volkswagen Group CHINA announced a partial closure of production at the plant in Shanghai for one day - Thursday, March 31 - due to a shortage of spare parts from suppliers. it is reported by REUTERS.
The company did not provide further details on the situation at the plant, which it operates jointly with its Chinese partner SAIC Motor. Shanghai is currently under a two-stage lockdown aimed at curbing the spread of covid-19 .
Earlier, on March 14, in connection with a new outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 in China, Volkswagen management was forced to suspend the operation of a plant in the city of Changchun in northeast China .
