The Supreme COURT of Bashkiria appointed October 26 a hearing on the collective lawsuit of the residents of the republic against the HEAD of the region Radiy Khabirov and his administration. The statement of claim was accepted for proceedings regarding the invalidation of paragraph 12 of the decree of the head of the Republic of Belarus dated October 1, 2021 and Appendix No. 2 to the document. This was reported to RBC Ufa in the press service of the court.
These paragraphs say that from October 4 in Bashkiria a ban is introduced on visiting state museums, exhibitions, libraries, cinemas, concert halls, houses of culture, physical culture, sports and other public events indoors, if visitors do not have a certificate of vaccination , past covid-19 disease, contraindication to vaccination or negative PCR test. From October 12, the same restrictions apply to shopping centers, intercity transport, including the Orlan train, private museums, exhibitions, libraries, cinemas and concert halls. From October 18, the requirement applies to beauty salons, beauty salons, spas, massage parlors, solariums, baths, saunas, fitness centers, fitness clubs, swimming pools and catering establishments with more than 50 seats.
At the same time, the court refused to accept the claim regarding the requirement to cancel similar provisions of the decree of September 9, 2021. They spoke about the ban on attending sports events indoors, discos and nightclubs without the specified certificates. The press service of the court explained that this document is no longer valid, so there is no point in challenging it.
As RBC Ufa reported, the first class action lawsuit against Radiy Khabirov due to covid restrictions was filed in early July. The court refused to accept it. On August 4, the plaintiffs filed a new application. Its production has been discontinued. Finally, an amended claim was filed with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus on 6 October. Previously, experts had not highly assessed the chances of satisfying the claims against the head of the republic.
