Most Russian doctors have already been vaccinated against COVID-19or intend to take root in the near future. But forced vaccination, according to almost half of the doctors, changes the attitude towards vaccinations for the worse.

Most Russian doctors have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 or are going to be vaccinated in the near future, a survey conducted by the Doctor's Handbook mobile application showed, Kommersant writes. 35% of respondents admitted that they are not ready to be vaccinated.

Doctor's Handbook is a service for doctors that unites more than 450,000 users. The survey was conducted from 8 to 16 June. It was attended by 2177 doctors of various specializations using this mobile application.

Over 60% of the doctors surveyed have either already been vaccinated against coronavirus (41%) or are going to be vaccinated in the near future (24%). Most often, they make the decision to vaccinate themselves - 41%.

But at the same time, 46% of respondents faced in one form or another coercion to be vaccinated by employers. So, under pressure from the team or the employer, 8% of the respondents had to be vaccinated. The very idea of ​​compulsory vaccination is not supported by doctors. According to 45.4% of the doctors surveyed, it can change the attitude towards vaccinations against COVID-19 in a negative direction. Only 17.6% reported that this would change their attitude towards vaccination for the better and would generally help the vaccination campaign.

Two-thirds of the respondents would advise relatives and friends to get vaccinated. 35% say it will help them stay healthy, while 29% say it's the only way to stop the epidemic. 37% of doctors would not advise to be vaccinated, as "they are not sure about the effectiveness of the vaccine."
