Problems with blood clotting can occur even in young patients who have had a mild disease. Diana Kim, a hematologist of the highest category at the Avicenna Medical Center, told Radio Sputnik about this.

According to Kim, one of these patients later had a stroke. “That is, even those who suffered covid-19 in a mild form are not protected from post-viral, post-covid thrombosis,” she noted.

The DOCTOR noted that the formation of blood clots is dangerous in any case, but the place of its occurrence plays an important role. If a blood clot forms in the brain, it will lead to a stroke, and depending on the part of the brain, it will depend on whether it will end in a fatal stroke, or the patient will be able to get off with minimal consequences, Kim said.
