According to the doctor, patients in whom the omicron strain was found complained of a strong feeling of fatigue, in addition, a six-year-old patient had a rapid pulse and high temperature. At the same time, patients with a new strain, as Kutzi noted, were most often young people. The doctor also clarified that the patients did not experience loss of taste or smell.

“Their symptoms were very different from those I had experienced before and were mild,” the doctor said.

Around 20 of her patients have reported such symptoms, Coetzee said. They were mostly healthy men who came in "very tired" and about half of them had not been vaccinated.
