Due to the increasing incidence of covid-19 around the world, we should continue to wear masks and get vaccinated, the HEAD of the World HEALTH Organization (WHO), Tedros Ghebreyesus, said on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

According to him, the incidence of CORONAVIRUS and flu has been increasing for two weeks and this trend is expected to continue.

He encouraged people to get tested and seek medical help, recalling that treatment for COVID-19 can prevent severe disease and death. You need to use masks, keep your distance and make sure that you and your loved ones are vaccinated against coronavirus and influenza, the head of WHO added.

Ghebreyesus called on authorities to ensure access to reliable tests, treatments and vaccines, as well as to continue to monitor the increase in cases and inform the population.

In total, more than 850 thousand people fell ill with coronavirus; the most new cases were recorded in RUSSIA - 279.4 thousand sick people.
