WHO denies reports of a new pandemic

Representatives of the World HEALTH Organization (WHO), in a conversation with Rospotrebnadzor, called statements about the threat of a new pandemic in 2024 unreliable , the agency’s press service told TASS .

Earlier, WHO DIRECTOR General Tedros Ghebreyesus announced the possibility of a new pandemic emerging in May 2024.

“Rospotrebnadzor also held consultations with representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry and WHO headquarters, who confirmed the unreliability of interpretations about the threat of a new pandemic given by some TELEGRAM channels,” the message says.

The HEAD of WHO, according to Rospotrebnadzor, spoke about the development of a new international agreement to combat pandemics, which should be completed by May 2024. The decision to prepare such a document was made with the participation of RUSSIA at a special session of the World Health Assembly in December 2021.

On January 17, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, “disease X” was supposed to be discussed, which could potentially be 20 times higher in mortality than covid-19 . The meeting was called “Preparing for Disease X,” and the head of WHO was one of the participants.

Rospotrebnadzor assumed that statements about “disease X” could be based not on scientific, but on economic grounds. “The dialogue of the session will revolve around increasing investment. This is especially beneficial for large pharmaceutical companies,” the department said.
