The death of a patient in the Volgograd infectious diseases hospital was not caused by problems with the oxygen supply. This is stated in the message of the HEALTH committee of the Volgograd region, received by RBC. Earlier, Bloknot Volgograd published information that a man died while changing oxygen cylinders in the CORONAVIRUS hospital of the Traktorozavodsky district of the city.
The department clarifies that a preliminary check showed that the man was admitted to the hospital in a moderate condition on October 27, and the next day he was connected to oxygen support due to a deterioration in health. After that, the patient was transferred to the resuscitation and intensive care unit, and on November 1, he was diagnosed with total lung damage.
