Soon, QR codes confirming the vaccination against covid-19 , a past illness or the presence of a medical exemption from vaccination will have to be presented in Tatarstan by passengers of all types of regional public transport - urban, suburban and intermunicipal, RBC Tatarstan reports with reference to the data of the regional operational headquarters.
The check “will be carried out by the carriers at the time of boarding the passenger in public transport,” the headquarters said.
The working group created on behalf of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov simultaneously prepared an appeal to the Russian Railways OJSC and the Federal Air Transport Agency with a request to introduce QR codes for passengers of long-distance trains and aircraft flying between Tatarstan and other regions.
When the rule on the mandatory presentation of a QR code comes into force, the operational headquarters did not report. Minnikhanov himself announced on November 6 that the new order would come into effect as early as November. He stated that QR codes will become mandatory for passengers over 18 in two weeks.
“A huge number of people address me with complaints about the violation of the mask regime in public transport. There are a lot of people there, you can’t seat them,” Minnikhanov explained the need for this measure.
