The authorities proposed to cancel two PCR tests upon entry for some Russians

Those who have been ill or vaccinated against covid-19, will be able not to take two PCR tests when entering RUSSIA. But for this they will need to confirm the presence of antibodies

Rospotrebnadzor proposes to cancel the requirement for two PCR tests for COVID-19 when entering Russia for recovered or vaccinated Russians. The corresponding draft amendments to the decision of the chief sanitary DOCTOR are posted on the portal of draft regulations.

Now, after entering Russia, all citizens must pass two tests for COVID-19 within five days with an interval of at least a day. “In the presence of a completed course of vaccination against COVID-19 or acquired immunity as a result of a previous COVID-19 disease, a double laboratory test for COVID-19 by PCR is not required,” the draft amendments to the decree say.`

In order to confirm the presence of immunity, Russians will need to upload a certificate confirming the completion of a full course of vaccination, or an antibody test, to public services.

The requirement to pass tests for COVID-19 when returning to Russia was introduced last year, since July it has replaced the mandatory 14-day quarantine for those crossing the border. At first, it applied only to those who arrived by plane, but from April 14, it began to apply to all those entering. Since May 1, the requirement has been tightened: now you need to take two tests at once.
