
If the situation with the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the Moscow Region does not improve, then from July 1, the region may be banned from using public transport for everyone who does not have a QR code confirming protection against the disease.
“If we do not achieve the expected effect, then the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region will propose additional restrictive measures from July 1. This is an admission to use public transport only for residents of the Moscow region who have a QR code, ”Svetlana Strigunkova, Minister of Health of the Moscow Region, told reporters (RIAMO quote).
“We will do our best to avoid making this decision,” Strigunkova added.
Over the past day, a record 2,323 cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected in the Moscow Region. The number of infections in the Moscow Region has risen above the 2,000 mark for the first time since the start of the pandemic. Compared to the previous day, the infection rate increased by almost a quarter (it was 1871).

On June 23, Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov signed a decree on tightening measures designed to prevent the spread of the disease. The document, in particular, provides for admission from June 28 to cafes and restaurants and check-in to hotels using QR codes confirming the fact of vaccination against COVID-19, the illness suffered in the last six months or the presence of a fresh negative test.
According to the same document, from July 15, only those vaccinated against COVID-19 will be allowed to work in a taxi in the Moscow region. The transfer of orders by aggregators to taxi drivers not vaccinated against coronavirus will be prohibited.
