Moscow authorities will not introduce QR codes to visit shopping centers and fitness rooms

In Moscow, there are no plans to introduce special QR codes for visiting shopping centers and gyms due to the spread of covid-19 . This was announced by the HEAD of the department of trade and services of the capital Alexei Nemeryuk, the broadcast was conducted on the air of the RUSSIA 24 TV channel.

“So far there are no such decisions, we will observe,” he answered the corresponding question.

Nemeryuk added that visiting Moscow restaurants only with a special QR code is introduced only from June 28. According to him, more than 2 million people have already been vaccinated in the capital, and the rate of vaccination has recently increased fivefold.

On June 22, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed a decree according to which, from June 28, only those who have been vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS or have been ill with COVID-19 in the past six months, as well as people with a negative coronavirus test with a three-day validity period, will be able to visit restaurants and catering outlets. The PCR test must be done in one of the Moscow laboratories connected to the EMIAS system. The so-called protection against coronavirus will be checked through QR codes.

So, a special QR code can be obtained from June 25 at the registry of the city polyclinic or using an electronic medical card, the mos.ru portal, the EMIAS.info resource or the State Services.Stopcoronavirus application.

Deputy mayor of the city Anastasia Rakova said earlier that in Moscow over the past three weeks the number of new cases of infection with COVID-19 has increased by almost 100%. “Indeed, for the last three weeks we have seen an explosive increase in the incidence of coronavirus,” she noted.

According to the operational headquarters, 6555 cases of infection were detected in the capital per day. The number of infected people in Moscow has been declining for the third day in a row after the peak on June 19, when 9120 cases of COVID-19 were registered. So, on June 20, 8305 cases were recorded, on June 21 - 7584.
