At the same time, specialists from the operational headquarters recommended that residents of Moscow start wearing masks indoors again due to an increase in the incidence. The agency explained it by the spread of new sub-variants of the omicron strain of coronavirus.

About a week later, Rospotrebnadzor reported an increase in the incidence throughout the country, and then recommended that vulnerable categories of citizens wear masks and observe anti-COVID restrictions. The Ministry of HEALTH previously included among them those who suffer from autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis) and undergo rehabilitation after organ transplantation. The ministry also considered vulnerable people receiving immunosuppressive therapy and people over 60 years of age.
