The authorities of Bashkiria will soften restrictive measures for cafes and restaurants

In Bashkiria, restrictive measures for catering establishments will be softened. Requirements for presenting a certificate of vaccination or a negative test for CORONAVIRUS will apply to organizations with a capacity of 50 people or more, it was previously planned that the restrictions would apply to all establishments with a capacity of 10 or more seats. This was stated by the HEAD of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov at a meeting in the government on Monday, June 21.

As RBC Ufa reported, new restrictions were introduced in Bashkiria due to an increase in the incidence of covid-19 in a number of Russian regions. Corresponding changes were made to the decree on high readiness on the territory of the republic. At catering establishments, the new requirements will come into effect from June 29. Restaurateurs interviewed by RBC Ufa said earlier that restrictions would lead to a decrease in revenue and an outflow of visitors.

“The criterion of 10 or more seats was discussed at the headquarters, but our Minister of Trade and Services Aleksey Gusev spent all these days consulting with restaurateurs. Restaurateurs asked him to increase this criterion. And we will increase it: restaurants, cafes with more than 50 seats fall under the requirement of this norm,” the head of the region said.

He instructed the Minister of Commerce to continue advising business representatives and identify problematic issues. Khabirov announced his readiness to make "some kind of movement towards" entrepreneurs, subject to the fulfillment of new requirements.

Anti-COVID restrictions in Bashkiria are being introduced in two stages. From June 22, museums, exhibition halls, libraries, theaters, cinemas, concert halls, houses and palaces of culture, nightclubs and discos, mass physical culture and sports events indoors cannot be visited without documents on vaccination, contraindications to it or a negative PCR test . From June 29, restrictions apply to public catering, massage and spa salons, solariums, baths, saunas, fitness centers, fitness clubs, swimming pools, spa organizations, student dormitories, intercity passenger transport.
