Vaccine "Sputnik Light" stopped coming to the Nizhny Novgorod region

The issue of supplies is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Drug Supply of the Ministry of HEALTH of the Russian Federation

The Sputnik Light CORONAVIRUS vaccine has ceased to be supplied to the regions of the Russian Federation, including the Nizhny Novgorod region, the regional Ministry of Health told RBC Nizhny Novgorod.

The ministry explained that the issue of supplies is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Drug Supply of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. At the moment, the Sputnik Light vaccine is not sent to the regions of RUSSIA, including Nizhny Novgorod.

“Instead of Sputnik Light, the first component of the Sputnik vaccine is being introduced to Nizhny Novgorod residents, since the first application of Sputnik is equal to Sputnik Light. They are allowed to be interchanged,” the ministry said.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health refutes the information that in the Nizhny Novgorod region the Sputnik Light vaccine will become paid. “There has been no such information received by the Ministry of Health of the region,” the department added.

Recall that the first batches of the Sputnik Light vaccine arrived in the Nizhny Novgorod Region at the end of July 2021. The drug was intended primarily for those who recovered from covid-19 , as well as for revaccination.
