
SOUTH KOREA has recorded its first two deaths among patients with the omicron strain of CORONAVIRUS, the Yonhap news agency reports, citing local authorities.
According to the HEALTH department of the city of Gwangju, which is located 329 km south of the capital city of Seoul, both deceased were over 90 years old. Their tests for the omicron strain showed a positive result after death.
