South Korean baby mistakenly vaccinated against coronavirus instead of flu

In the South Korean city of Seongnam, south of Seoul, a 7-month-old baby was mistakenly given a CORONAVIRUS vaccine instead of a flu shot. it is reported by Yonhap with reference to the city authorities.

The incident, according to the agency, occurred on September 29. The child was injected with Moderna's vaccine, which is usually given to adults. The drug was going to inoculate his mother.

After the infant was given the vaccine, he was sent to the hospital for five days. During this time, no side effects were recorded. The baby's parents filed a lawsuit against the pediatrician demanding compensation for the mistake, Yonhap reports.

Earlier, on December 6, in the Brazilian city of São Paulo, two babies were mistakenly vaccinated against coronavirus. The children were given a Pfizer drug instead of a combination of whooping cough, diphtheria and tetanus, and hepatitis B.
