Coronavirus vaccination suspended in Khabarovsk Territory

In the Khabarovsk Territory, due to high demand and a shortage of the drug, vaccination against covid-19 with the first component was suspended, Yevgeny Nikonov, deputy HEAD of the regional government for social issues, said on TELEGRAM.

“The rate of vaccination against COVID-19 in the Khabarovsk Territory has increased dramatically. Over the past two days, almost 5.2 thousand people have been vaccinated, the main demand for the vaccine is now recorded in Khabarovsk and Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
In the cities, the vaccine is running out,” he wrote.

In this regard, the authorities decided to suspend the work of a number of vaccination rooms where the first component was administered. Vaccination with the second component will take place as usual, this dose is enough for the region, Nikonov added.

According to him, another 15 thousand doses of the vaccine will be delivered to the Khabarovsk Territory in the next two days. In order for everyone to be vaccinated, the work schedule of vaccination rooms will be changed in the region: after the receipt of the vaccine, they will be open until 20:00. In Khabarovsk, mobile vaccination stations will start working until midnight or around the clock, "if there is such a request from the population," Nikonov said.

Against the backdrop of an increase in the number of people infected in RUSSIA, more than ten regions announced mandatory vaccination against CORONAVIRUS. it is not planned to introduce it in the Khabarovsk Territory, Mikhail Degtyarev, acting governor of the region, said. “We have conscious people, the pace [of vaccination] is normal, they just need to be accelerated,” he said on June 21. At the same time, the mayor of Khabarovsk Sergey Kravchuk instructed to ensure the vaccination of employees of the city administration, except for those who have medical contraindications.

Due to the increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in the Khabarovsk Territory, a number of restrictions have been introduced. You can fly to the northern regions of the region only with a negative PCR test. It can be done free of charge before departure by people with a residence permit in the northern regions, as well as those who travel to care for seriously ill close relatives or in the event of the death of relatives. Also, a certificate of absence of coronavirus or a certificate of vaccination will be needed for seasonal workers who travel to the northern regions.

The number of people infected with COVID-19 began to grow in the Khabarovsk Territory from the end of May, since June 19, more than 100 infected people have been detected in the region per day. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Khabarovsk Territory, 54.4 thousand infected people have been registered, 464 people have died, follows from the data of the operational headquarters.
