The Russian Armed Forces announced the formation of herd immunity to COVID-19

The Russian Armed Forces have formed collective immunity to the CORONAVIRUS. This was announced by the HEAD of the Military Medical Academy named after S.M. Kirov Evgeny Kryukov at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2021), TASS reports.

“To date, the formation of collective immunity has been completed in the Ministry of Defense. And this is one of the achievements of military medicine,” he said.

Kryukov noted that the vaccination of military personnel is almost completed. The head of the academy noted that it is voluntary. According to him, vaccination was easier in the army than among civilians. “They [military] are responsible people, they defended themselves, their families,” Kryukov said.
