The CEC of the Republic of Tajikistan insured the lives and health of over 22,000 members of territorial and precinct election commissions on voting days. The insurance covers disability due to injury or illness, including CORONAVIRUS infection.
“We, as organizers, are doing everything to ensure that the process of preparing for the single voting day and the voting itself are safe, while fully respecting the legitimacy of the procedure. We understand that the epidemiological situation is not easy and vaccination is a reasonable decision for the sake of the health and safety of people,” said Andrey Kondratiev, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The number of vaccinated employees in the CEC of the Republic of Tajikistan is 82%, 69% of the entire staff have been ill or vaccinated.
“Thanks to vaccination, the percentage of personnel protection is growing, and the implementation of the insurance project has become an effective measure of moral and social support for everyone who works in the electoral system,” Kondratyev said.
On July 31, Kondratiev, in Andrei Kuzmin’s “Interview Without a Tie” program, said that in Tatarstan, 47% of election commission employees had been vaccinated against coronavirus. The CEC of the region stated that it is not planned to oblige employees to be vaccinated before the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
He assured that there will be no restrictions for the population: people will not be required to have a vaccination certificate at the entrance to the polling station.
The same measures to ensure COVID-security as last year will be used: personal protective equipment, disinfection of premises, and so on. Elections will be held from 17 to 19 September.
