Birth and death rates decreased

in Tatarstan Following the results of 7 months, the birth rate in Tatarstan decreased by 10.5%. Mortality decreased by 12.5%. At the same time, in July the number of deaths from COVID-19decreased by more than 30 times compared to the same period last year

Rosstat published data on the vital movement of the country's population on the official website for the first 7 months of the year and for July.

According to Rosstat, 26,656 people died in Tatarstan in January-July 2022. Compared to the same period last year, mortality in the region decreased by 12.5%. According to the results of 7 months of 2021, 30,476 people died in the republic. 

In July, compared to the same period last year, the death rate decreased by 32.6% to 3,331 people. From coronavirus (the main cause of death) in July, 25 people died, a year earlier, 780 patients died.

For 7 months, 20,864 children were born in the republic, which is 10.5% less than in the same period last year. In July, the birth of 3197 children was registered in the Republic of Tatarstan. Compared to July last year, the birth rate decreased by 11.8%. 

The number of marriages, following the results of 7 months, remained practically unchanged - 12810 against 12802 a year earlier. The number of divorces for the year decreased by 5.5% to 8174.
