Tatarstan decided on the date of Sabantuy celebration

According to the document, the holiday will be held on June 12-12 in rural settlements and regional centers of the Republic of Tatarstan. In Naberezhnye Chelny, the celebration is scheduled for June 19, in Kazan - June 26.

The government of Tatarstan, together with local authorities, was instructed to ensure the organization of festive events in compliance with restrictive measures.

In 2020, the celebration of Sabantuy in cities, regional centers and large settlements was canceled due to the risk of the spread of covid-19 . In rural areas, the authorities made a decision, taking into account the opinion of the population. On July 4, a republican online Sabantuy was held.
