
The omicron strain of CORONAVIRUS in the United States accounts for about three-quarters of all new infections in the country. This is reported by the Assosoated Press, citing data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
According to the CDC, about 73% of new coronavirus infections in the United States are infected with "omicron". At the same time, in some regions of the United States, the new strain accounts for up to 90% of new cases of covid-19 .
The CDC also noted that compared to last week, the share of "omicron" in the country has grown almost six times.
