A resident of the American city of Sebastopol in California, Mitcho Thompson became infected with the CORONAVIRUS and monkeypox at the same time. The New York Post writes about it.
Thompson said he tested positive for coronavirus in late June and after that he began to notice small red spots on his back, legs, arms and neck. He passed the test, after which the DOCTOR confirmed that he had covid-19 and monkeypox.
In Austria, a patient with suspected monkeypox was hospitalized
The patient said that two viruses at the same time made him feel like he had a bad case of the flu. During his illness, he developed fever, shortness of breath, chills, body aches, and skin rashes. Thompson noted that he was constantly thirsty.
Stanford University infectious disease specialist Dr. Dean Winslow admitted that such cases are possible, and called them "incredible bad luck."
Monkeypox is a viral disease. Its symptoms are similar to those seen in patients with smallpox, but less severe. These are high fever, muscle pain, a characteristic rash and itching. The rash begins with the face and gradually spreads to the body, small spots turn into bubbles with liquid. Monkeypox usually clears up on its own, but people with weak immune systems, children, and pregnant women may have a harder time with it.
