Giving people who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus three extra days off after being vaccinated is unnecessary. This opinion was expressed by members of the Federation Council interviewed by RBC.
“It seems to me that this is too perfect, because the reaction to the vaccine is rare, severe reactions are even rarer. And to give days off for three days is not very clear for what purpose, ”Vladimir Krugly, a member of the Federation Council committee on social policy, told RBC.
In his opinion, in most cases, those vaccinated against COVID feel good, and the vaccine does not affect their health. He added that vaccination with Sputnik V usually takes place with minimal complications, but if a person feels the need for sick leave, he can use the usual mechanism for obtaining it and call a doctor.
“Why should all 99% or 98% be given time off from work when only 1% need it?” the senator added, suggesting that perhaps those who propose giving the vaccinated three extra days off want to motivate people to get vaccinated.
