RUSSIA has not declared mandatory vaccination against covid, so until that time it is impossible to fine for refusing it, Klishas explained. The authorities have previously noted

In Russia, it is not yet possible to introduce fines for refusing to vaccinate against CORONAVIRUS, because there is no mandatory vaccination in the country, said Andrey Klishas, Senator, HEAD of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation of the Federation Council, RIA Novosti reports.

“We do not have compulsory vaccination. Therefore, a fine for refusing to vaccinate cannot be supported,” he explained.

The day before, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said that the authorities are studying the experience of other countries in introducing fines for refusing to be vaccinated: "<...> let's see how effective it is, how applicable it is."

Earlier, consideration of such a possibility was announced in Austria. They developed a draft law, according to which, in case of refusal to vaccinate a citizen, they will be summoned to the district administrative body. If he refuses, he will be called again, and if he does not appear again, he will face a fine of € 3.6 thousand or imprisonment for four weeks. With the following refusals, the amount of the fine will increase to € 7.2 thousand.
