Tatarstan announced that there is no need to resume the

mask regime

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, head of the republican operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus infection Leyla Fazleeva said that now the incidence of COVID-19 in Tatarstan is at a low level and the intensity of the epidemic process is not observed.

However, according to her, an autumn rise in the incidence is possible, which may lead to the resumption of the mask regimen.

“No one can now say when this can happen - in August, in the middle of the month or at the end, in September, and so on. All indicators are monitored daily. And at the moment there is no need to resume the mask mode. Further, everything will depend on the epidemiological situation," Realnoe Vremya quotes Fazleeva.

The mask regime has been suspended in Tatarstan since June 6, 2022. The decision was made against the backdrop of a decrease in the incidence of COVID-19.

On July 12, the authorities of Moscow and St. Petersburg recommended that citizens wear masks in public places. On July 13, WHO issued a recommendation to countries around the world to return to the mask regime and other measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
