More than 200 sanitary violations recorded in clubs and cafes in Rostov

In Rostov, more than 200 violations of restrictions imposed in clubs, cafes and restaurants were identified in June as part of the fight against the spread of COVID-19 . Such data are provided by the press service of the city administration.

“Monitoring groups of the city checked 4335 objects of the consumer market. Based on the facts of revealed violations of the mask regime and social distancing, 225 protocols were drawn up under the article of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Failure to comply with the rules of conduct in an emergency or the threat of its occurrence,” the report says.

As Konstantin Tikhonov, head of the trade and consumer services department of the city of Rostov, explained, such violations could lead to the return of restrictive measures.

“If the owners and staff of the consumer market facilities, as well as their customers, do not comply with the current sanitary rules, a surge in the incidence of coronavirus in the city and the return of related restrictions, up to the closure of facilities in certain areas of activity, are quite likely,” Tikhonov stressed.

Earlier, Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko demanded to increase security measures in million-plus cities in connection with the spread of cases of COVID-19.
