More than 40,000 people were evacuated from the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR to RUSSIA, Acting Minister of Emergency Situations Alexander Chupriyan said during a meeting of the commission on the situation with refugees.

“There was information that more than 40 thousand people were forced to leave the neighboring regions of Ukraine and arrived on Russian territory. Now they are located mainly in the Rostov region,” the minister said.

In addition, on the night of February 20, about 2 thousand people were evacuated by train to the Kursk and Voronezh regions. Chupriyan added that 92 temporary accommodation centers for refugees have been deployed, all of them are testing for covid-19 , so far no cases of the disease have been detected.

In addition, mobile ATMs are currently being installed at refugee accommodation sites, Chupriyan said. According to him, this will increase the speed of the due payments. The minister added that in the near future he would go to the accommodation centers for refugees from Donbass to inspect the situation on the spot.
