Epidemiological control points will be opened at the airports of the Nenets National District and at the berths of barges, which will check people's COVID-19 safety documents. This is stated in a message published on the website of the government of the NAO
“Citizens arriving in the region will need to present documents confirming the absence of COVID-19. This can be a certificate of a past disease, which is generated on the State Service portal, a certificate of completed vaccination, or the result of a PCR test done no earlier than 72 hours before arrival in the region. The certificate of the presence of antibodies is not included in this list, it will not be taken into account as a document confirming the absence of COVID-19, ”the message says.
Epidemic control points will appear at four airports in the region - in Naryan-Mar, Nes, Om and Pesha, as well as at barge berths.
Those who do not have a certificate of absence of COVID-19 will be offered to undergo a paid PCR testing procedure for 1,400 rubles. Citizens without documents confirming the absence of covid disease will be sent to a two-week quarantine. If the PCR test gives a negative result, the self-isolation regime will be canceled.
The regional authorities justified their decision by the fact that over the past two weeks, 46 cases of “importation” of CORONAVIRUS infection have been recorded in the NAO. “The number of imported cases of infection is growing every day,” the Rospotrebnadzor department for the NAO said.
