In Russia, 10 thousand cases of COVID-19 were recorded per day

Over the past 24 hours, 10,824 new cases of covid-19 infection have been detected in RUSSIA , follows from the message of the headquarters for combating this disease. Today's number of infections is 12% less than the day before, when there were more than 12,000 cases for the second day in a row.

As of August 1, 836 infected patients were admitted to hospitals (15% less than on July 31), 36 patients died.

Most of the new cases were detected in Moscow (3062, but this is almost 20% less than the day before), followed by St. Petersburg (1711, 7% more) and the Moscow region (712, 43% less). More than 200 cases have been recorded in the Leningrad, Chelyabinsk, Irkutsk and Voronezh regions. Over a hundred were identified in 14 regions, not a single one in two (Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Regions).

In total, more than 18 million 612 thousand cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in Russia since the beginning of the pandemic. According to the headquarters, 382 thousand people died, but Rosstat, which takes into account both those cases where the CORONAVIRUS was the main cause of death and those when it was a secondary one, indicates that more than 815 thousand people died.

In July, after three months of recession, the rise in the incidence of COVID-19 began again in Russia. If at the beginning of the month the daily increase was at the level of about 3 thousand, then from mid-July the same indicator was at the level of 4 thousand or more, and by the end of the month the incidence increased almost four times compared to the beginning. In the Kremlin, the growth dynamics of the number was considered alarming, but noted that this situation is also observed in other countries.
