In Russia, less than 10 thousand cases of COVID-19 were detected per day

Over the past day, 9,560 new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection were recorded in RUSSIA, while 1,962 people were hospitalized with such a diagnosis, which is 134.7% more than the day before, according to the operational headquarters in TELEGRAM.

At the same time, on the website of the operational headquarters, the number of people admitted to hospitals with covid-19 remained at the level of the previous day - 836 infected.

In addition, compared with the previous day, the number of people discharged from the hospital due to recovery increased by 41.1%, to more than 8.5 thousand people. 48 infected people died.

In July, after a long decline, the incidence rate in Russia began to rise again. At the end of the month, the daily increase in new cases reached more than 12 thousand (maximum since April) and lasted for two days. In early August, the indicator began to decline - after peak values ​​​​on the weekend the day before, August 1, 10.8 thousand new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded per day.

Against the backdrop of a decrease in the incidence in Russia, all coronavirus restrictions were lifted from July 1. They have not yet been reintroduced. In Rospotrebnadzor, the increase in the incidence was explained by the spread of new, more infectious variants of the omicron strain of coronavirus, which, nevertheless, are easier to tolerate and less likely to lead to complications.
