In Russia, 53 thousand new cases of COVID-19 were detected per day

Over the past day, 53,457 new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection have been registered in RUSSIA, according to the operational headquarters for combating infection.

The number of hospitalized per day amounted to 3719 people, 13.9% less compared to September 21, when 4321 people were admitted to hospitals.

57,019 Russians recovered, 106 people died.

Most of the cases of covid-19 were recorded in Moscow - 5994 people. In second place in terms of the number of infected people is St. Petersburg (3865 people), in third place is the Voronezh region (2091 people). They are followed by the Samara Region (2042 people) and the Perm Territory (1998 people).

Over the entire period of the pandemic in Russia, 20.6 million people have been infected with the coronavirus, more than 386 thousand Russians have died.

A new rise in the incidence of COVID-19 has been observed in Russia since July.
