The number of detected infections for the second day in a row remains below the mark of 30 thousand per day (the previous day it was 29,929) - the previous time the indicator fell below this mark on October 13 (it was 28,717).
Most infections per day were detected in Moscow (2894), the Moscow region (1999) and St. Petersburg (1968).

Over the same day, 1,121 people died from COVID-19 in Russia, according to the federal operational headquarters. The number of deaths in one day was the lowest since October 26 (then it was 1106).
Most deaths over the past day were recorded in Moscow (84), the Moscow region (61) and St. Petersburg (60). Mortality from COVID-19 in the largest cities of Russia remains well below summer mortality peaks - on June 28, 124 patients with COVID-19 died in Moscow, a day later, the worst result since the beginning of the pandemic was recorded in St. Petersburg (119 deaths).
