In Russia, for the first time since mid-April, 11.5 thousand cases of COVID were detected

In RUSSIA, 11,515 new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection were detected per day, follows from the data of the operational headquarters.

More than 11.5 thousand infected in the country were registered for the first time since April 13. Then more than 11.7 thousand cases of covid-19 were detected .

41 people died from COVID-19, 5018 recovered. 1491 infected people were hospitalized.

On the eve of the authorities reported 9027 infected. This is the highest figure since April 20.

In total, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia, more than 18.5 million people have been ill, more than 382.3 thousand have died.

The incidence of coronavirus in Russia has been declining since February. By June, the daily number of cases reached its lowest level since the spring of 2020. In July, Rospotrebnadzor lifted all anti-COVID restrictions. However, a few days later, the incidence of COVID-19 increased again.

On July 25, the headquarters reported that over the past week, the incidence rate per 100,000 people was 29.97, an increase of one and a half times compared to the previous one.

According to the authorities on July 22, the level of herd immunity to coronavirus fell to 12.3%.

At the same time, the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor reported that they did not see a rapid increase in the number of cases of COVID-19, as in January when the delta version of the virus was changed to "omicron".
