Nearly 170,000 COVID-19 cases detected in Russia with 17,000 hospitalizations COVID-19

In Russia, 168,201 cases of coronavirus infection were detected per day, 17,798 people were hospitalized, according to the operational headquarters for combating the pandemic. 682 people have died.

The day before, 155,768 infections were recorded, 17,792 residents of the country were hospitalized, 667 people died.

With the increase in the number of infections, the number of those who have recovered from COVID has increased. During the day, 58,449 people were counted at the operational headquarters, on the eve of them there were 53,724 people.

The total number of deaths from COVID-19, according to the operations headquarters, reached 334 thousand people. At the same time, Rosstat counted more than 681 thousand deaths by December 2021. This number includes statistics on patients in whom coronavirus has become a concomitant cause of death.
