In Russia, a minimum of cases of COVID-19 was detected since the end of May

In RUSSIA, over the past day, 8,640 cases of covid-19 have been detected with 3,462 hospitalizations, the operational headquarters reports. This is the minimum daily increase in new cases of CORONAVIRUS since May 31, 2021, when 8475 cases were detected.

The largest number of cases of COVID-19 was detected in St. Petersburg - 624 people, in second place - Moscow (416 people), followed by the Voronezh region (303 people). Least of all - in the Republic of Altai (2 cases), Magadan region (2 cases) and in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (3 cases).

Also, 16,763 people recovered in Russia per day, 235 people died.

The total number of deaths, according to the operations headquarters, reached 373,948 people.

The day before, on April 18, more than 9.4 thousand new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country with 1058 hospitalizations.

On Friday, April 15, the operational headquarters reported that in Russia the level of herd immunity decreased by 1.3 percentage points, to 45.2%. In the country, vaccination with the first component of the COVID-19 vaccine was carried out 90,015,765 times, and the full vaccination cycle - 86,222,601 times. At the same time, in Moscow, the level of herd immunity decreased from 40.8% to 39.2% over the week.
