Over 137,000 COVID-19 cases detected in Russia with 16,000 hospitalizations

Over the past day in RUSSIA, the number of covid-19 casesincreased: 137,642 new cases were registered.At the same time, the number of people admitted to the hospital with this diagnosis decreased after a sharp increase the day before.
Over the past day, more than 137 thousand new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection have been detected in Russia, which is 2.5 thousand more cases than the day before, follows from the data of the operational headquarters. The total number of known cases of infection in Russia during the pandemic was 15,795,570.
At the same time, the number of hospitalized with covid has decreased after a sharp increase by more than two times the day before: 16,349 people were admitted to hospitals with coronavirus.

The maximum number of people infected per day was detected in St. Petersburg - 9794 people (536 people were hospitalized). According to this indicator, St. Petersburg bypassed Moscow, where over the same period it became known about 5664 infections (590 people were hospitalized). Also, 5473 infected people were registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory (521 people were hospitalized), 4841 in the Novosibirsk Region (329 people were hospitalized), 4520 in the Perm Territory (400 people were hospitalized).
In addition, 785 people died from coronavirus infection in Russia per day. After that, the total number of victims of the pandemic in the country rose to 347,816.
