In Russia, 59 thousand cases of COVID were detected per day for the first time since the beginning of March

More than 4 thousand infected were taken to hospitals, 110 died. In 16 regions, the number of cases exceeded 1,000.

Over the past day, 59,035 new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection have been registered in RUSSIA, according to the headquarters for combating this disease. The last time more than 58 thousand infected people were recorded on March 9, in the last wave of the pandemic.

During the day, 4178 patients with covid-19 were hospitalized , 110 infected people died - this is the maximum since May.

Most of the new cases were detected in Moscow (8799), followed by St. Petersburg (3879) and the Moscow region (2243). Almost 2 thousand infected were recorded in the Voronezh and Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Perm Territory. More than 1 thousand new cases were registered in ten more regions. Minimal incidence (less than a hundred cases) - in 13 subjects.

In recent days, there has been a new rise in the incidence, which came after a short-term decline. In September, the minimum number of new cases of coronavirus infection was observed per day on September 5-6 - 38.5 thousand. A new wave of increase in the incidence began in July.

The total number of cases of coronavirus infection since the beginning of the pandemic in Russia has reached 20 million 324 thousand.
