In Russia, 40 thousand cases of infection with coronavirus were detected per day

On September 27, the operational headquarters reported 36.6 thousand infected. The number of hospitalizations decreased by 9.6% compared to the previous day and amounted to 3,300, of which the largest number (221) was in St. Petersburg

40,017 people were infected with CORONAVIRUS in RUSSIA per day, reports the operational headquarters. 3,300 patients were hospitalized (9.6% less than the day before), 111 died.

On the eve of the operational headquarters reported 36.6 thousand infected and 3652 hospitalized.

According to updated data, Moscow leads in the number of detected cases (4041 per day), Sverdlovsk region is in second place (2330), followed by the Samara region (2001), St. Petersburg (1771) and Udmurtia (1605). Most of the patients (221) were hospitalized in St. Petersburg in the last 24 hours.

The total number of people infected with coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 20,909,731, and 387,054 have died from covid-19  .

The incidence in Russia began to grow in mid-July after the lifting of all restrictions. On September 24, the operational headquarters, as today, reported the death of 111 people - this was the maximum since May 12.

The HEAD of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, said in mid-September that the spread of coronavirus in central Russia was declining and leaving for the regions. She called the situation manageable.
