In Russia, 180 thousand cases of COVID were detected with a drop in the number of hospitalizations

In Russia, over the past day, 180,071 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected , 661 people have died, follows from the data of the operational headquarters.

The number of hospitalizations across the country fell by 29.3% per day, 12,749 people were taken to hospitals. A day earlier, this figure was 18,032.

At the same time, the number of those who recovered from the disease decreased - 59.5 thousand patients. This number fell by 1.5% compared to the previous day (it was 60,507).

The largest number of patients was identified in St. Petersburg (21,448), Moscow (18,856) and the Moscow region (10,443). The smallest number was found in Chukotka (70) and in the Jewish Autonomous Region (36).

Since mid-January, a sharp increase in the incidence has continued in Russia. If on January 15, more than 27 thousand infected people were detected in the country, then on February 5, the operational headquarters reported 177 thousand cases per day, with 18 thousand hospitalized.
