170,000 COVID-19 infections detected in Russia with 10,000 hospitalizations

In RUSSIA, the number of hospitalized patients decreased by a third over the day - from 15 thousand to 10.3 thousand, the number of cases decreased slightly - to 170.6 thousand people, the day before 179 thousand cases were detected.

In Russia, 170,699 new cases of covid-19 have been detected over the past day, 10,372 cases have been delivered to hospitals, according to the statistics of the operational headquarters. Over the past day, 745 previously ill people died.

A day earlier, 179.1 new cases of diseases were detected in the country per day, with 15,000 hospitalized. Thus, 31.14% fewer people were delivered to hospitals.

Most of all new patients were detected in St. Petersburg  - 16.5 thousand cases with 389 hospitalizations. Moscow is in second place in terms of this indicator - 6.3 thousand infections, however, almost twice as many people were delivered to hospitals - 699 patients.

More than 5 thousand cases were also detected in the following regions of Russia:

Voronezh region — 5,902 (217 hospitalizations); Krasnoyarsk Territory - 6,703 (232 hospitalizations); Perm Territory — 5,180 (267 hospitalizations); Novosibirsk region - 5,205 (167 hospitalizations).
