Russia to create four platforms for rapid vaccine development

Four platforms for the rapid development of vaccines against new infections will be created in RUSSIA in 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said at a meeting of the government's headquarters for combating CORONAVIRUS. The broadcast was conducted by the TV channel "Russia 24".

“We will prepare four platforms for the rapid creation of safe and effective vaccines against new infections,” Golikova said.

She added that in 2021, Russian scientists developed seven tests to diagnose five infections in 60 minutes. Four of them are under production.

According to Golikova, by 2024, 80% of the population will be able to receive test results for infections within 24 hours. For 43 infections, rapid tests will be introduced.
