Over the past day in Russia, 104 people have died from the coronavirus infection COVID-19, according to the data of the federal operational headquarters. The number of victims of the disease exceeded 100 people for the third day in a row; in the previous two days, 107 and 106 patients died from COVID-19, respectively.
Most of the deaths from COVID-19 over the past day were traditionally recorded in Moscow - 28. The leaders in terms of mortality also included:
St. Petersburg - 12; Perm Territory - six; Krasnoyarsk Territory - four; Ulyanovsk region - four.According to the headquarters, the total number of deaths from COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic has exceeded 386.5 thousand. However, Rosstat counted more than 823 thousand deaths in July alone. The agency includes in its statistics those who died from other diseases against the background of covid, as well as those who were found to have the virus after death.
