In RUSSIA, the production of immunoglobulin for CORONAVIRUS has begun on the basis of the blood plasma of people who have recovered from the disease. This was announced by the Minister of HEALTH of Russia Mikhail Murashko in an interview with RIA Novosti at the site of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
“This is anti-covid immunoglobulin, which is already a highly concentrated drug that allows you to neutralize the virus, and it, of course, is of the highest priority in comparison with anti-covid plasma,” the minister explained.
Murashko pointed out the need to increase the production of the drug and added that this would definitely require plasma.
According to the minister, monotherapy does not always give the desired effect, so doctors also choose a combination, and now there is data on the combination of blood plasma with antiviral drugs.
