In Russia, in the Far North, they found a sick "omicron"

In the Murmansk region, which belongs entirely to the Far North, the first case of infection with a new omicron strain of CORONAVIRUS was registered. This was announced on its page on VKontakte by the administration of the Kovdorsky district of the region, where the infected person was identified.

The case turned out to be poignant. Relatives from abroad came to visit the family in one of the settlements of the district. According to the entry rules, they were tested for covid-19 , two of them were found to have the virus, the administration explained. The patients were sent to self-isolation.

“The analyzes were sent for further research, which revealed the presence of the Omicron strain in one of the arrivals,” the administration said.

Now the HEALTH authorities are making a decision on the hospitalization of the patient.
