Symptoms of the disease with a new strain of CORONAVIRUS "omicron" can appear the next day after infection. “According to today's data, the incubation period for infection with the omicron variant is most often three to six days. Given the ability of the new strain to spread faster, there is a possibility of symptoms appearing the very next or a day after contact, ”said Ruzhentsova.

According to her, the rapid increase in the number of infected in some countries indicates a shorter incubation period with Omicron compared to the Delta strain.
