The authorities of the unrecognized Transnistria, following a meeting of the Security Council, set a red level of terrorist threat in the republic, TSV Pridnestrovie reports.
PMR leader Vadim Krasnoselsky is preparing a corresponding decree. The red level provides for the adoption of additional measures to ensure the security of the individual, society and the state.
As stated in the republican Security Council, three terrorist attacks took place on the territory of Pridnestrovie, as a result of which a military unit in the village of Parkany, the building of the Ministry of State Security in Tiraspol and the towers of a radio and television center near the village of Mayak were damaged.

According to the authorities, the attack on the MGB took place on April 25, the building was fired from a grenade launcher. On the morning of April 26, as a result of two explosions in the village of Mayak, two antennas of the radio and television center were disabled, which relayed Russian radio.
Details about the attack on the military unit of the authorities have not yet been given.
Oleg Belyakov, co-chairman of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) for managing the peacekeeping operation, said that the peacekeeping forces are in control of the situation.

The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic declared its independence from Moldova in 1990. Russia sent peacekeepers to the region in July 1992 after the escalation, now a task force of Russian troops is based there. In June 2018, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Transnistria. The Russian Foreign Ministry called this UN decision provocative, and the PMR refused to withdraw the Russian military from the republic. Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that in order to resolve the conflict, Russian peacekeepers should be replaced by a mission of civilian observers from the OSCE.
Transnistria borders Ukraine, where a Russian military operation is taking place. In mid-April, Moscow announced a new phase of the operation, the purpose of which the authorities say is to establish control over the Donbass and southern Ukraine in order to secure a corridor to Transnistria.
