
The authorities of the Amur Region have obliged citizens of those professions that are associated with working with people to be vaccinated. The corresponding decree was signed by the chief sanitary doctor of the region Olga Kurganova, according to the website of the government of the subject.
“People who are engaged in the areas of mass interaction with the population are subject to mandatory vaccination. These are workers in the service sector, trade, catering, fitness centers, multifunctional centers, taxi workers, etc., ”the message says.
The list also included adult students, citizens over 60 years of age, people with chronic diseases, health workers, employees of educational organizations and social service organizations, shift workers, volunteers, state civil and municipal employees, law enforcement officers and conscripts.

They added that the situation with COVID-19 is exacerbated by the difficult situation associated with floods. The press service noted that the threat of the spread of coronavirus is increasing at the points of temporary accommodation of citizens.
According to the operational headquarters, in the day preceding June 30, 83 people were infected with the coronavirus in the Amur region, 45 patients recovered. Over the entire period of the pandemic, 24,090 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the region, 23,213 cases of infection and 305 deaths.

On June 20, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Amur Region declared a state of emergency in connection with the onset of floods due to a rise in the water level in the Amur River. According to the government, about 800 houses and 2,000 adjacent plots remain flooded. The authorities evacuated about 1.8 thousand citizens, about 500 of them were placed in temporary accommodation centers. A total of nine such points have been deployed with a total capacity of up to 2,000 people.
